The Cross"He leadeth me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake", Psalm 23:3

I grew up in a churched family, attending almost every Sunday and my wife and I met, married, and raised our children in church. Our current and our previous churches inspired me and changed my thinking and understanding of theology more than I can say. I truly believe that, in the depths of my worldly ways, God led us to Immanuel Church in Chelmsford, MA. The sermon on that first Sunday addressed our specific problems.

Though I had been wanting a job change for several years, within weeks of returning to regular church attendance, God provided the opportunity I had unsuccessfully been seeking on my own. Visiting churches in our new home town, God brought us to Bonaire First Baptist Church, where our Pastor and Sunday School Teacher became my closest friends as well as my theological teachers and mentors. They were my fellow travelers on our November 1998 Romanian Mission Trip. In my testimony to those Romanian congregations, I told them that my prayer was that their church mean as much to them as mine does to me.

Having moved, we also moved our membership to North Metro First Baptist Church and subsequently to Blackshear Place Baptist Church.

Unworthy though we are, God loved us first.
Unworthy though we are, God sent His only Son.
Unworthy though we are, Jesus took our sins upon Himself.
Unworthy though we are, Jesus died a painful death on our behalf.
Unworthy though we are, Jesus conquered death for us in His resurrection.
Unworthy though we are, Jesus prepares places for us in Heaven.
Unworthy though we are, God extends His mercy when we, all too often, fall short of His standard.
Unworthy though we are, God's grace assures our Salvation.

Soli Deo Gloria!
